If you don’t have a Twitter or Facebook account for your business nowadays, you’re falling behind. Companies tend to shy away from social media websites due to being unsure which platform works best. Is it Facebook or Twitter? Or is it neither? Is it one of these 350 sharing services? According to the trends on AddThis, Facebook takes up almost 50% of everything shared. But the truth is, it’s a very close match. And depending on how you use them, they can both be great.
The beauty of the major social media platforms is that they can work together. I can set my Twitter account to post the same information on my Facebook account, and vice versa. All of my tweets on Twitter can show up on my LinkedIn page. My Tumblr blog can post a tweet when I share a blog post, and my entire blog can be fed onto my Facebook Page wall.
In essence, you really can’t go wrong with the abilities you have today. You should really be on as many platforms that fit into your business as you can in order to maximize your audience. At best, Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn are the main social media platforms you should be on. Here are a few key tips to help you out:
There are plenty of ways to use social media, and you might prefer to use one service over the other. However, the more you expand the better chance you have of reaching a larger audience. So, make sure you’re on LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter. Bonus points if you have a blog.
